High voltage bushings are the necessary parts of power transformers. Depending on the configuration, some bushings are used in each power transformer. Oil impregnated bushings 245 and 420kV (OTF) are produced in Nirou Trans Company under license of HSP-Siemens. They are constructed in a modular system which make it possible to configure as request.The insulating body of this technology is made of Oil-impregnated insulating paper which is wound on the center tube in wide tapes. During the winding process grading layers of aluminum foil are integrated to permit uniform voltage distribution. The grading layers guarantee optimum distribution due to their excellent conductivity,despite sudden voltage fluctuations.
